Breakfast: People arrive at Glastonbury in sweltering conditions
Carol Vorderman told fans her special Glastonbury appearance didn’t work out due to her demanding schedule.
The ITV presenter took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to praise her pal and current affairs commentator Marina Purkiss who attended the annual music festival to film a live episode of The Trawl Podcast.
In the social media post, Marina revealed: “Today we’ll be on stage again telling people how to use their votes tactically to hand the Tories their P45s.”
The former Countdown star quoted the tweet and wrote: “Go Girls. I was booked to be at Glastonbury to say my bit, but am so stupidly busy had to pull out.”
Carol added: “Fed up about that but have a great one everyone especially our team from http://stopthetories.vote and @MVTFWD.”
The 63-year-old added more context to her performance after @dayvales took to the comments and asked: “‘Booked at Glastonbury to say your bit’? I thought it was a music festival??”
Carol simply responded: “Plenty of spoken word stages.”
The TV presenter has previously opened up about her appearance when the corporation failed to include her when they announced the line-up and stage times.
Taking to X, she stated: “NEWS 'Glastonbury reveals more of line-up' BBC forgot to say I'll be 'performing' at Glastonbury in Left Field Tent.
