Ruth Langsford reportedly feels "let down" by Eamonn Holmes following their split and impending divorce after 14 years of marriage. The Loose Women panellist's estranged husband has reportedly sparked a friendship with a younger woman since their shock marriage split.

Sources have claimed that Ruth has been left devastated by Eamonn's strong female friendships after he has been linked to and seen with three different women including Katie Alexander and colleague Hayley Sparks. The Mirror reports via Bella Magazine a source revealed: "Ruth is in absolute shock. That there is another woman he's turning to is making her wonder how many more there could be.

"It all feels never-ending. She's very hurt by it all - it's like he's been living a secret life all this time. She feels let down. Never would she of thought that he could have done this to her and her family."

The insider added: "Everyone is in shock and for Ruth, it's deeply painful. She's so good at putting on a brave face and smiling through it all, but inside, friends know she's struggling.

"Knowing the man she was married to and shared her life and career with is not the man she thought is going to take a long time to get over."

However, the source added that Ruth is also "ready to move on" herself. They continued to Best Magazine: "Ruth has been completely shocked by it all. She doesn't feel ready, if truth be told, but she has been left reeling after seeing Eamonn get close to a new woman.

"She never thought in a million years there would be talk of either of them moving on after just publicly announcing their split, but her friends have said that if Eamonn is moving on with someone new, then there's no reason why she shouldn't as well."

Ruth, 64, is set to return to ITV's Loose Women next week and will reportedly address her split from Eamonn, also 64, for the first time.

The former This Morning host has been off the air since April, prior to the announcement of her separation from her husband and father of her four children.

Ruth has remained silent about the split until now, but reportedly feels she "owes" an explanation to the Loose Women audience as she returns to the panel.

An insider revealed that while it will be an emotional moment for Ruth, she is a professional and understands she can't return to TV without addressing her three-month absence.
