Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri has spoken out about her relationship with Love Island's Andrew Le Page, following rumours that they are engaged. The soon-to-be BBC contestant offered an explanation as she admitted that their relationship had not moved to the next stage.

Posting to Instagram, seemingly enjoying some time in the sun with her other half the 26-year-old wrote: "Guys we aint engaged ahahaha. That's an old pic from our first date on Love Island."

Tasha added two heart emojis with bandages around them to her post. The speculation came after a very romantic picture of the loved-up couple resurfaced.

The image showed them standing in front of thousands of red roses, with them channelling their inner Sandy and Danny from Grease. Tasha wore a body-hugging black dress, finished off with a leather jacket and her hair in a slicked-back bun.

Meanwhile, Andrew wore black jeans, a white t-shirt and a matching leather jacket. He finished the look off with a pair of white trainers as he held on to Tasha, who looked up at him in adornment.

Tasha posted the shot onto her Instagram Stories with no explanation - and fans quickly inundated her to ask if Andrew had proposed.

Tasha and Andrew met on the 2022 summer series of Love Island and they made it all the way to the final.

Later this year Tasha, who was born deaf, is set to take part in BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. The reality TV star is the second ever deaf contestant to take part, following in the footsteps of 2021 winner, EastEnders' Rose Ayling-Ellis.

When her upcoming participation was confirmed, the model said: "Pinch me, I can't believe I'm going to be on Strictly Come Dancing! I've been watching the show since I was little – it's a firm Ghouri family favourite – so this is a total dream come true.

"I know it's going to be an unforgettable experience and I hope to represent and make everyone proud out on that dancefloor."

Andrew shared his support for her, as he said: "Congratulations Tasha! This is a dream come true and I'm so proud of you! You fully deserve this more than anyone. You've worked so hard to get here."
