The actress became a teen icon thanks to the 1985 coming-of-age movie, which saw her flash her on-trend, short red tresses as the beautiful and pampered character.
While her school days are now long gone, the American beauty is still turning heads today at the age of 48.
After sporting numerous hairstyles over the years since her first role in The Facts of Life, Molly is now back to her ginger roots and she couldn't look better.
The Californian star, who has three children with her writer husband Panio Gianopoulos, has remained in the world of show business since her 80s hey day.

Molly was just 17 when she landed the part in The Breakfast Club, in which she went on to star alongside Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy.
She had previously received a Golden Globe nomination for the Tempest (1982) and her breakout role came thanks to Sixteen Candles - a year before the aforementioned comedy-drama.
A member of the so-called Brat Pack, Molly appeared in Pretty In Pink, The Pick-up Artist and For Keeps - her final teen role.

She reportedly turned down the female leads in both Pretty Woman and Ghost, and in the 90s moved to France and focused on French films.
More recently Molly impressed in the commercially successful Not Another Teen Movie and The Secret Life of the American Teenager, as well as numerous Broadway plays and musicals.
As well as being a regular on TV and in film, Molly has also released a jazz album and written an advice column for a British newspaper.
