'Perfect’ chocolate chip cookie recipe takes 30 minutes and doesn’t require a mixer

It comes from Jenna @butternutbakery on TikTok. She describes it as the “most perfect” chocolate chip cookie recipe that doesn’t need a mixer and requires no chill time.
“They’re perfectly crisp on the outside, gooey on the inside, and also so easy to bake because we’re using melted butter.
The cookies would be perfect alongside some ice cream or with a glass of milk.

Ingredients
- 165 g all purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- 110 g unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 100 g light brown sugar
- 75 g granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 240 g semisweet chocolate chips
- Flaky salt to top
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 176 degrees Celsuis. Melt the butter in the microwave, and pour it in a bowl. Add in the brown sugar and granulated sugar, and whisk together.
Crack the egg over the mixture, and whisk again. Sprinkle in the baking soda, baking powder and salt, and mix. Then slowly pour in the flour and mix with a spoon. It will get thicker as you add it in, so just pour in a little at a time. Once it’s all mixed together, fold in your semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon cookie sized clumps of dough onto the sheet, about 10 centimetres apart. Press a few chocolate chips on the top.
Bake in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until done but still gooey on the inside. Let cool for 10 minutes, and sprinkle flaky salt on top.
