An American woman has sparked a furore among Brits after she rated some of our beloved meals quite poorly, including the roast dinner and Full English breakfast.

Ashleigh, who goes by @rctaashleigh online, has amassed more than 1,800 followers for her videos where she expresses her desire to become British. However, one of her posts has left viewers split after she shared her opinions on some classic British dishes.

In the slideshow of images, which have gained more than 59,000 likes, she offered up some surprisingly low ratings and gave her reasoning behind each one. First, she ranked the Sunday roast a mere 4/10, explaining that she didn't like the "look or the texture, and the portion looks way too big."

Even worse was her rating for the Full English breakfast, in which she tragically scored a 2. "So bland and beige, where's the colour?" she commented.

Scones with cream and jam seemed to redeem things slightly with a score of 6/10 — but she confessed she was more accustomed to eating them with gravy. However, it was back down to a 4 when she rated the traditional fish and chips.

"So beige again but the fish does look nice, just doesn't look very nutritional," she remarked. Lastly, her lowest ranking was a shocking minus nine for the British favourite — beans on toast — with -9, as she declared: "You couldn't pay me to eat this."

British TikTok users were left stunned in the comments as they couldn't believe how low their favourites had scored. One user said: "Narrrr all that food is banging," while another commented: "Sunday dinner 4/10? Ok, well that's just wrong."

Someone else added: "Scones and gravy is diabolical and never disrespect a roast or full English." Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "I cant believe she did fish n chips so dirty and beans on toast."
