A man said he's 'never seen anything quite like it' after reviewing the 'wild' state of a £60,000 home on the market in Sheffield.

A £60,000 property with one bathroom, two bedrooms and a garden at the back sounds like the perfect set up - but there is something "not quite right" about it.

In today's economy, the prospect of buying a house is a far-reaching dream for many. And even when you manage to save up, the home you've bought may need a lot of work doing to it. And that is certainly the case with this home in Sheffield.

Upon entering the property on Stanwell Street, listed by Auction House, it looks like a classic terraced home. It has a large living room with a built-in fireplace, a decent size bedroom, and an upstairs bathroom with bath and shower facilities.

But some parts of the home aren't ideal - as the kitchen has no flooring. The property is also riddled with mould.

The home, which was listed on Rightmove in September 2023, was shared on popular TikTok page @housinghorrors recently. "I have never seen anything quite like it," the content creator, known as Bushrod, said.

In a video clip showing people around the property, Bushrod explained: "This is the downstairs living room as you walk into the property and this is not a bad size - like any other property - but wait until you see the kitchen."

The kitchen area was cordoned off with tape and a sign reading: "Danger, uneven flooring." The clip showed ripped-up flooring with earth and pipes exposed. "Honestly, that is absolutely battered," Bushrod commented.

As you walk up the staircase and turn to the left you come to the first bedroom - which had a broken door. But the room itself is "not a bad size", Bushrod pointed out, and appeared clean and tidy.

But across the landing, leading to the second bedroom and ensuite bathroom, was "the worst of it". As the camera pans across the bedroom, it reveals a large wall covered in mould. The gobsmacked TikToker added: "Look at that mould - that has got to be the worst case of mould I have ever seen."

Sharing his final thoughts, Bushrod said: "I have to say this property is definitely a doer-uper. You'd probably have to put a bit of money into this to make it worthwhile."

The Rightmove listing states the property is based in a "great location" and is a "fantastic investment opportunity". According to Rightmove, it was sold on January 24 this year for a price of £46,000.
