Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is grappling to save his premiership with some already looking ahead to his successor.
Former Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries has said that it is “no coincidence” that Former Prime Minister David Cameron was made a Lord.
Ms Dorries told TalkTV on Tuesday: "It's no coincidence that David Cameron has suddenly been popped into the Lords, no coincidence whatsoever.”
She added that the next leader of the Conservative Party “will be from within the Lords”.
Sir David returned to frontline politics as Foreign Secretary in November as part of Mr Sunak’s reshuffle.

Last week Mr Cameron insisted that he does not have an “agenda” to return as Tory leader.
He told Sky’s Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips he was not going to run as an MP at the next election or make a leadership bid.
He explained: “The ability to come back and try and serve in some capacity as foreign secretary is a huge honour for me, I’m going to do my best, use the experience I’ve got but there’s no other agenda here.
“I’m doing the job I was asked to do, I’m delighted to do it, I’m not after any other role.
