Horse rams into crowd during coronation procession
Shocking footage shows the moment an out-of-control horse rammed into a crowd of people waiting along The Mall. The "unruly horse" was filmed backing into the crowd as officials desperately try to get it under control. Guards moved out of the way as the horse went crashing through the barricade into onlookers who dispersed following the incident.
It happened whilst King Charles and Queen Camilla were being escorted down The Mall following their crowning.
A member of the Life Guards, a regiment of the Household Cavalry, attempted to rein his horse in as it jolted across the road.
Luckily, the horse was eventually brought under control as it took its position behind the Gold State Coach.
Around 160 members of the armed services were part of the Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry to accompany the King and Queen.
One guard was seen limping at the end of the clip while others helped her to her feet after it appeared her foot was trampled on.
Thousands of Brits are lining the procession route today as they celebrate the Coronation of King Charles.
More than 4,000 troops are taking part in the mile-long procession stretching through the centre of London.
The service finished at 1pm with the King and Queen travelling back to Buckingham Palace from Westminster Abbey.
