Meghan Markle's mouthpiece Omid Scobie lashes out at 'years of deceit, cover-ups and lies'
Royal author Omid Scobie has issued a damning verdict of the Palace machine on his social media.
Omid Scobie, who has often been referred to as Meghan Markle's mouthpiece due to his favourable reports on the Sussexes, has taken to X to issue a damning indictment of Kensington Palace.
He wrote: "There are dozens of pages of reporting and detailed statements to support this in my book Endgame. This is not just about one poorly-managed photo release, it is years of deceit, cover-ups and lies."
The royal author made the comments in response to a report that the global news director of Agence France-Presse, one of the world's biggest news agencies, had said that Kensington Palace is no longer a "trusted source" following Princess Kate's apology over the edited Mother's Day photo of her with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
His tweet has had some support from his followers. One X user said: “That's right.

“Their year of deceit, cover ups & blatant lies has caught up with them... #Endgame”
Another said: “I'm glad that you've always stuck to the truth Omid. Thank you.”
The photo that sparked the row was taken by Prince William and showed Kate front and centre, sitting down with Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte stood on either side and Prince George stood tall behind her.
The photograph was shared with the media on Sunday but it was withdrawn by international picture agencies later the same day because of the concerns about it being manipulated.
Royal sources said the Princess of Wales made “minor adjustments” and that Kate and the Prince of Wales wanted to offer an informal picture of the family together for Mother’s Day.
The source added: “The Wales family spent Mother’s Day together and had a wonderful day.”

In the social media post, Kate thanked the public “for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months” since her abdominal surgery.
Hours later Princess Kate broke cover as she was pictured leaving Windsor Castle alongside Prince William.
Meanwhile, Scobie has revealed that he will be releasing a brand-new royal book called Royal Spin.
But the new book will be rather different to his previous tomes Finding Freedom and Endgame, with Scobie opting to make his "fiction debut".
He's sticking to the royal theme as his novel will follow a "young American woman who leaves a press role at the White House for one at Buckingham Palace".
