Meghan Markle's comparison to Princess Diana has been branded "beyond tasteless and offensive" by Prince William, according to an insider.

The Duchess of Sussex recently visited Nigeria and was compared to the late Princess of Wales after she sported pieces of jewellery reminiscent of the heir to the throne's mother, including a plain gold necklace and a diamond cross.

Even though some experts suggested the pieces of jewellery did not belong to Diana, an insider now has come out and claimed the comparison between the two women has left the Prince of Wales "bothered".

According to the source, while the future King does not want to "deprive Harry of the right to celebrate their mother's legacy" however, he is not happy that the Duchess "paraded around as the modern-day version" of his late mother.

They told Closer magazine: "William doesn't want to deprive Harry of the right to celebrate their mother's legacy. What bothers him is how Meghan's paraded around as the modern-day version of Diana, he finds that beyond tasteless and offensive, not only to him but also to Kate."

Royal Family urged to ‘remove Harry and Meghan from website completely’ for one key reason

EXCLUSIVE: The Royal Family are being encouraged to remove any mention of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from their website.

Kinsey Schofield, founder of To Di For Daily and Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, told the Daily Express: "Fans that side with the working royals really want Harry and Meghan removed from the site in general.

"They feel like that connection only gives the Sussexes credibility and in giving them that credibility or platform, the Royal Family is furthering Harry and Meghan’s destructive cause, which some would argue is disrupting the monarchy."

Royal Family 'welcomes US election' as public pressure expected to ease off

The Royal Family are likely to be pleased that the US Presidential Election will take the pressure off them on the international stage.

It has been a heavy year for the royals, with King Charles and Princess Kate both taking time off to be treated for cancer.

Expert Brittani Barger suggested the run-up to the elections will reduce speculation on when the Princess of Wales might be returning to work.

The co-founder of Royal News said: "With the US Presidential Election in November and a rematch between Biden and Trump, I think Americans will be distracted, taking even more pressure off of the Princess.

"People will have more to focus on social media, where most of the pressure on Catherine seems to come from, with elections and arguing between political parties in the coming months. And I'm sure that's welcomed by the Palace."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'falling on their faces' as key strategy not working

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are "falling on their faces", according to a royal commentator, who believes their strategy for life outside the Royal Family is not working.

Kinsey Schofield told Sky News Australia: "The (late) Queen was very clear that half in, half out doesn't work and it's part of the reason Harry and Meghan continue to publicly fall on their faces.

"I don't really believe Prince William will attempt to bring any additional family members centre stage, but I do think he's going to keep his cousins close to him. But I think it's going to stay those core members."

This year Meghan has launched her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, and two new programmes produced by them for Netflix have been announced.

Princess Kate's hair incident on royal outing prompted concerned security guard to step in

Princess Kate had an encounter with her accidentally grabbing her hair during a walkabout for the Coronation last year.

The fan eagerly posed for a selfie with a smiling Kate, however security tried to intervene in case the woman got too enthusiastic.

But all was well as Kate said it was nice to meet her and carried on chatting happily with the crowd.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in 'complete overhaul' as Netflix 'loses interest'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could soon be facing another hurdle as a royal expert has claimed Netflix is "losing interest" in them.

Richard Fitzwilliams told The Mirror: "[The contract] runs out next year and Netflix are no longer producing the series of The Crown, as they previously were. They might therefore have less interest in the Sussexes.

"If they lost this contract, with Archewell, their business and charitable foundation, having so few donors, they might well be in financial trouble.

"Since their exposés of royal life has made megabucks, but little else has made money, the Royal Family better hope that this unpredictable and ruthlessly ambitious couple stays with Netflix."

Prince Harry and Meghan afforded 'great timing' to launch brand after 'serious worry'

A royal author has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could benefit from the timing of the UK General Election.

While the election campaign is ongoing the Royal Family have had to cancel many engagements that may appear too political or take attention away from the election.

Royal commentator Tom Quinn said: "The British public will miss seeing and hearing about the Royal Family as they go into pre-Election shutdown mode so what could be more natural than turning their attention to the rebel royals.

"Meghan and Harry will love the extra attention and not just because it will be one in the eye for the Royal Family.

"Far more important, at least from Meghan's point of view, the temporary absence of the senior royals is a chance to promote the Sussex royal brand."

Prince William and Princess Kate's awkward one-word blunder sees post axed in minutes

Prince William and Princess Kate posted an update on their social media channel giving an update on key events over the past month.

However instead of writing "Welcome to the May rewind" on X, they accidentally wrote March.

Royal fans were quick to point out the error and it was soon corrected.

William and Kate started their X account in 2014, and have since used it to share pictures of royal events and outings to their 2.9 million followers.

They began doing monthly rewinds in October 2023 to share highlights from the previous month, typically any notable events or family birthdays.

Meghan Markle's failure to understand she wasn't 'top dog' hastened departure from Firm

Meghan Markle struggled with learning she would not be "top dog" in the Royal Family, according to an expert.

Journalist Jennie Bond told OK! magazine: "I have always held the view that Meghan failed to understand that she would never be the top dog in the Royal Family… or even the deputy top dog.

"There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be in complete control and charge of your life. There’s nothing wrong with seeking the limelight. It’s just that the Royal Family was the wrong vehicle for her ambitions."

Ms Bond added that she did not necessarily believe that Meghan craved superstardom but wanted to be more in control of her own life.

The two pals Prince William can trust amid Prince Harry feud

Prince William may have fallen out with his younger brother Prince Harry, but he has two close friends he can rely on still.

They are Peter Phillips, his cousin, and Mike Tindall, husband of Peter's sister Zara, both of whom stand as brotherly figures to the future king and are within the Royal Family.

Former BBC royal correspondent royal correspondent, Jennie Bond, told OK! Magazine: "When two people in a family fall out, it makes life very difficult not only for them, but for the rest of the family too. Loyalties are tested and there is no easy answer."

Instead, her role will be taken by Lt Gen Sir James Bucknall, former Commander of the Allied Rapid Reaction Force. Speaking of Kate, he revealed a kind, 18-word message to the Princess: "We totally understand and our thoughts and best wishes are with Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales."

Nigeria's First Lady breaks silence after she was accused of taking aim at Meghan Markle

Nigerian First Lady Oluremi Tinubu did not attend to criticise Meghan Markle when she made a speech about women's clothing, according to AFP Fact Check.

In her speech at an event titled Celebrating the Woman, the First Lady took aim at the desire for Nigerian women to dress like Hollywood film stars.

Addressing a crowd at the event, Oluremi Tinubu said: "We don't accept nakedness in our culture. That is not beautiful. It is not beautiful at all.

"There are beautiful girls but they should be confident to know who they are. They are mimicking and trying to emulate film stars in America."

King Charles at the 'end of his tether' with Prince Harry and forced to change his tactics

A royal expert believes King Charles has "reached his limit" with the feud between himself and Prince Harry as he tries to repair their relationship.

Father and son have been embroiled in a bitter relationship since Prince Harry revealed shocking details about his life with Meghan Markle in the Firm in televised interviews and his bombshell memoir, Spare. The couple have repeatedly spoken about life inside Palace walls before they stepped down as working royals in 2020 and eventually moved to California in the USA.

As reported in the Mirror, royal expert, Tom Quinn said: "Charles feels he has made a huge effort to repair his relationship with his son, but that Harry refuses to budge. With this in mind, Charles is changing his approach."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the brink of major financial trouble after new setbacks

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should brace themselves for major financial trouble if Netflix doesn't renew their lucrative deal, a royal expert has warned.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to America where they tried to set up a life for themselves and their young family by being financially independent.

Harry and Meghan have taken part in a number of projects and struck various deals, including one with Netflix.

But while the Sussex couple have a couple of projects - like Harry's polo show and Meghan's cookery show - in early production, they were warned they could face financial trouble if the deal - which is set to expire in just a few months - doesn't get renewed.

Princess Kate's favourite Jo Malone perfume that's rarely on sale is now reduced

When it comes to choosing fragrance, opting for a designer scent helps ensure you have a long-lasting perfume that won't need to be topped up throughout the day. If you're after a fragrance that has the royal seal of approval, Princess Kate reportedly uses Jo Malone's Orange Blossom Cologne.

She is such a fan of the fruity and floral scent that it is believed Kate even wore it on her wedding day to Prince William in April 2011.

The luxurious perfume is not often on sale, however savvy shoppers have spotted a disount on beauty retailer All Beauty. It would typically cost £118 but is now £111.95 here.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie dealt brutal news as Trooping the Colour rumours shut down

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are set to miss out on joining the rest of the Royal Family during this year's Trooping the Colour as the York siblings are said to be kept at "arm's length" for "pivoting towards the dark side".

The Royal Family will put on a united front on June 15 for this year's official celebrations for King Charles's birthday, with Buckingham Palace revealing more details about the ceremony on Thursday.

However, royal sources said other members of the firm are expected to attend the main event but the attendance would mirror that of last year, when only working members of the Royal Family were present.

Real reason Prince Harry and King Charles are failing to patch up their relationship

Prince Harry has no chance of healing his ongoing rift with his father, King Charles, "anytime soon", however, there might be a light at the end of the tunnel, according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from the Royal Family ever since he and wife Meghan Markle quit their royal duties and moved to the US in 2020.

Whilst there may have been hope Harry could reconcile with his estranged family following the King's cancer diagnosis earlier this year, royal author Robert Hardman argued this will not happen anytime soon as "people are wounded" and there is a "trust issue" between the two camps, the Independent reports.

Princess Kate 'considering' surprise appearance on Palace balcony at Trooping the Colour

The Princess of Wales is understood to be considering making a surprise appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony at this year's Trooping the Colour.

Kate, who continues to undergo chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer, has not undertaken any public duties this year as she focuses on her recovery.

Sources are keen to emphasise that she will only return to duties when her doctors give her the all clear to do so, though Kensington Palace is confident that Kate will make a full recovery.

Royal author Tom Quinn claimed that this is the moment the Duke and Duchess have been waiting for in order to "promote the Sussex royal brand".

He told the Mirror: "The British public will miss seeing and hearing about the royal family as they go into pre-Election shutdown mode so what could be more natural than turning their attention to the rebel royals - Megan and Harry will love the extra attention and not just because it will be one in the eye for the royal family."

Meghan Markle 'determined to avoid the UK' as she wants 'nothing to do with Royal Family'

Meghan Markle is "determined" that she wants "nothing to do with" the UK or the Royal Family, claims royal expert and author Tom Quinn.

The Duchess of Sussex didn't join Prince Harry in the UK earlier this month - and has not visited Britain at all for almost two years.

As reported by the Mirror, Meghan - who was last in the UK for the late Queen's funeral in September 2022 - wants to stay away from the UK "for the foreseeable future".

Meghan Markle 'knows key move would make millions' but 'fills King Charles with horror'

Meghan Markle knows a memoir detailing her life as a working royal would fly off the shelves, but the prospect reportedly fills King Charles with horror, an author has claimed.

Tom Quinn said the Duchess of Sussex is aware a book would also boost her latest business venture, America Riviera Orchard.

He told the Mirror: "For all her efforts to make a success of her new online business, America Riviera Orchard, Meghan knows a personal memoir of her time in the UK as a working royal would sell millions of copies and make her the sort of money she craves."

Prince Harry and Meghan take very different parenting approach to Prince William and Kate

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen to keep childcare within the family mostly, with Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland helping care for Prince Archie five, and Princess Lilibet, two, - however, this differs from how Prince William and Princess Kate's children are being raised.

The Prince and Princess of Wales rely heavily on their Spanish nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, from the prestigious Norland Agency to look after their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, a source explained: "The Wales family have taken a very different approach. But it must be noted that before Kate’s illness, the Wales family worked extremely hard. The children also live at home with their parents."
