Queen Camilla wins second place as the Royal Family's "best-dressed royal" claims an expert, who says the Queen is "looking stunning" during recent events and engagements.

The royal who has won the title as the "best-dressed royal", is Princess Kate, according to former BBC royal correspondent, Jennie Bond.

Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, Jennie said: "Best dressed, I think probably Catherine is amazing. That gold outfit she wore to the James Bond premiere was amazing. She's very closely matched by Camilla who is looking stunning these days."

In September 2021, Princess Kate and Prince William both graced the red carpet for the James Bond world premiere of No Time to Die. Kate stole the show with her glittering gold gown, wearing a custom Jenny Packham gold cape dress. It featured structured high shoulders, a cinched waist, and strategically placed sheer paneling, with plenty of gold sequins and embellishments.

Looking glamorous, Kate wore her hair in an elaborate updo for the A-list event, and accessorized with gold earrings by O’nitaa.

Queen Camilla in Normandy

Queen Camilla, however, epitomised style and elegance as she joined King Charles last week for a major event in France to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-day landings in Normandy.

The Queen looked stunning in an all-white ensemble featuring cream accents. She wore a white dress coat by Anna Valentine that featured intricate metallic studs around the neckline. Her iconic white, wide-brimmed hat was by designer Philip Treacy.

Camilla paired the look with a matching white leather handbag, a cream scarf and a pair of sensible pointy heels in an oatmeal hue.

For jewellery, Camilla opted for a pair of pearl drop earrings, her signature Kiki McDonough Apollo mini blue topaz and diamond pendant in yellow gold (£2,300), as well as a diamond and pearl brooch and a poppy badge pinned on her coat dress.

This year, Queen Camilla made a recent fashion commitment and pledged she will no longer purchase any new items of fur for her wardrobe, which was confirmed by Buckingham Palace.

The stance towards the once-popular material echoes that of the British public, with 95 percent also refusing to wear the animal product, according to PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

The Queen, who is understood not to have worn fur since 2017, is following in the footsteps of the late monarch who took the same decision in 2019.

PETA welcomed the Queen's decision after she wrote them a letter saying she will "not procure any new fur garments", which was sent with her "warmest wishes".

Managing director Ingrid Newkirk said: "It's right and proper for the British monarchy to reflect British values by recognising that fur has no place in our society."
