A MOTHER appeared in court today accused of murdering her baby minutes after giving birth.
Lithuanian Gintare Suminaite is accused of murdering her baby minutes after giving birth
Lithuanian Gintare Suminaite, 29, was today remanded in custody.
Paramedics found the unnamed baby girl at her home in Bognor Regis, West Sussex shortly after 8.30am last Wednesday.
Suminaite was rushed to St. Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, West Sussex, for urgent medical attention.
The baby was newborn, a few minutes old
She was arrested on suspicion of murder after her discharge two days later.
Today, she spoke to confirm her name and address during a brief hearing at Crawley Magistrates Court.
She is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court tomorrow.

A police spokesman confirmed the young mother was charged with murder over the weekend, just three day's after her baby daughter's death.
He said: "The baby was newborn, a few minutes old.
Suminaite is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court tomorrow
"Gintare Suminaite was released from hospital on Friday 8 April and taken into custody.
"She was charged on Saturday 9 April."
