Temperatures are set to ramp up again in the coming weeks as weather maps turn red.

Britain is set to be blasted by an Iberian plume and hot weather maps have revealed the exact date of the 25C surge.The first week of June saw lows of 6C with temperatures only just peaking at 16C leading to many Brits toying with putting the central heating back on .

However, we might not have to wait much longer for warmer weather as temperatures are set to soar in a matter of weeks. And it’s not just the south of the country that looks set to scorch, with even the northernmost tip of Scotland and Ireland will see temperatures rise to the mid 20s.

Maps courtesy of WXCharts and Netweather.com show that Britain could be sweltering between Saturday June 22 and Tuesday June 25.

On June 23 Ireland and Scotland will see temperatures surge to a warm 24C and 25C. With the south of the country set to enjoy temperatures around 22C.

Temperatures will rise in London and south east on Monday June 24 with Wales predicted 22C and Scotland could even see temperatures rise to a 26C.

Then temperatures are set to peak at 25C on June 25 in London with the south east and east midlands to enjoy the highest temperatures also.

North of England, Wales and Scotland will all experience slightly cooler weather on June 25 with temperatures set to reach between 17C to 21C.

The Met Office does not share the same sentiment in its outlook for Monday June 17-Wednesday June 26 warning that the “UK is likely to continue to be a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers, with some longer spells of rain also possible. Some showers are expected to be heavy and could be thundery at times”.

However on a more positive note the forecaster said that we can look forward to “spells of drier, sunny weather”.
