Ibiza, renowned for its vibrant nightlife and stunning beaches, is gearing up to welcome new hotels in 2024 and 2025, even as the island grapples with the challenges of overcrowding due to an influx of tourists.

The introduction of these new hotels comes at a time when Ibiza is already under strain from an overwhelming number of visitors.

The island's popularity has led to concerns about sustainability and the impact of tourism on local infrastructure and natural resources.

Despite these challenges, the hotel industry continues to invest heavily in Ibiza, betting on the island's enduring appeal to travelers seeking its unique blend of nightlife, culture, and natural beauty.

A new hotel under the Casual Hotels chain, Casual Bahía Ibiza, is set to open its doors in April next year. Located in the municipality of Sant Josep, this will be the company's first establishment in the Balearic Islands.

The hotel will feature 42 rooms and will undergo refurbishment inspired by Mediterranean themes, designed by Raquel Sanjuán Studio.

Casual Hotels, a Valencian company founded in 2013 by Juan Carlos Sanjuán, aims to provide themed urban accommodation with a personal touch.

The addition of Casual Bahía Ibiza will expand its portfolio to 26 establishments with 947 rooms across 15 cities in Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

Adding to the island's hotel boom, the Hilton chain will open two new hotels under its Curio Collection by Hilton brand for the 2024 summer season. These additions are part of Hilton's broader plan to increase its presence in Europe with 10 new resorts offering more than 1,500 rooms.

Located in Port de San Miguel, the Cala San Miguel Hotel Ibiza will boast 196 rooms with direct beach access. This beachfront property will feature three restaurants serving Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, two bars, two swimming pools, fitness facilities, and a wellness area, including an outdoor space for calisthenics and yoga.

Just minutes away from the Cala San Miguel Hotel, the Club Cala San Miguel Hotel Ibiza will be an adults-only retreat with 96 rooms and beach access. It will offer two restaurants, two bars (including a pool bar and lobby bar), a food truck, an outdoor pool, and a gym. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Cala Benirrás and 30 minutes from Ibiza town center.
