Strictly: Ryan Thomas cries at Adam Thomas' performance
On Sunday night, Dancing on Ice returned for its 16th series as the first half of celebrities took to the ice for the first time. One of which included Ryan Thomas and his professional partner Amani Fancy.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk and other media publications, the 39-year-old touched on his younger brother, who was in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, Adam Thomas. When asked if his sibling has given any dancing tips to help him on the ITV show, Ryan replied: “I remember being with my brother all the way through his process on his show.
“It was a daily conversation of support, so he’s now having to be my support. He’s going to be there at the first show, along with my other brother.
“It’s a family affair, we’re all very supportive of each other. But, along with that comes some brotherly banter.
“I have to do better than both my brothers on any show that they do. The object of the game is to beat Adam!”
Last year, Adam was the sixth person to be eliminated from the BBC dance show with his partner Luba Mushtuk.
Ryan continued: “As long as I get further than Adam did on his show, then I’m happy. But, we are super supportive and he can’t wait.”
The former Coronation Street star revealed that he didn’t actually invite his brother to watch the first show as he invited himself.
He continued: “I wanted to let this go under the radar, just enjoy it on my own and now the first family are coming.”

Currently, Ryan is top of the leaderboard after he managed to impress judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo.
Their routine managed to earn them a score of 26.5, with Amber Davies not far behind with a score of 25.
Other stars that skated for the first time over the weekend include Greg Rutherford, Roxy Shahidi, Hannah Spearritt and Ricky Hatton.
Sadly, it was farmer boxing champ Ricky who found himself at the bottom and the first person to be in the dreaded skate-off next week.
He’ll be battling it out for a spot in the competition against the bottom couple with the lowest combined points in week two.
Once they skate again, it will be down to the four judges to decide who they want to continue in the show.
Making their debut on the ice next week will be Claire Sweeney, Adele Roberts, Miles Nazaire, Lou Sanders, Ricky Norwood and Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards.
Dancing on Ice continues Sunday on ITV from 6:30pm.
