Morning Live: Helen Skelton calls Jon Kay a 'cheeky monkey'
Helen Skelton has received an outpouring of support as she revealed her "last day" on Morning Live. The Strictly Come Dancing alumni, who's now a regular on BBC, opened up about her temporary departure on Instagram stating it would be her "last day" for a "few weeks", this coming Friday (17 May).
In her announcement, she said: "We are having a little holiday @bbcmorninglive ... last day for a couple of weeks tomorrow. Thanks for your company. Thanks for sharing your stories. Thanks for inviting us into your living rooms. @gethincjones @michelle_ackerley @ravwilding".
Using the hashtags "#morningtelly #morninglive #bbc #manchester" Helen received warm wishes from fans, one replying: "You always look amazing Helen also a genuinely lovely human being a very special young Lady and Mama."
Another fan paid tribute to her role as a female role model: "Such an amazing woman and I think role model for women in general and so stunning and beautiful."
Other admirers expressed their long-standing adoration for Helen, with one writing: "Love this lady x... way back to the BP days she's fantastic and I wish her well in everything she does," while another complimented her style remarking on a specific outfit which they noted was very classy, reports Birmingham Live.
Morning Live, usually broacasted between 9:30am and 10:45am each weekday, took a break last in March. Hosts Sara Cox and Gethin Jones had announced its temporary cessation at the end of the show.

As Helen takes a break, Crimewatch Live will fill in for the next "few weeks".
Gethin Jones made a heartfelt plea to viewers for their "last chance" to engage, stating: "It's the last Morning Live unfortunately, so if you have any burning questions for our experts, we are still gonna be with you, this is your last chance to get them in."
The show Morning Live experienced a significant makeover earlier this year, which included welcoming Helen as a new regular co-host.
