Loose Women's Kaye Adams forced to apologise as she swears live on air in major blunder

During Wednesday's half-term instalment on Loose Women, Kaye Adams accidentally let slip a rude word with the likes of Denise Welch admonishing the star.

Loose Women: Kaye apologises for 'naughty' language

Kay Adams' jaw dropped when she let slip a naughty word on today's Loose Women. The 61-year-old ITV presenter got stuck into a fashion debate with her co-stars this afternoon.

The host was in a heated debate with Denise Welch, Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards when she was heard saying the word “bl**dy”. It happened when the group were talking about what fashion staples suit them.

Brenda, 55, was honest and said she does not like wearing dresses due to the way they make her feel. The star confessed she does not feel “comfortable” as she feels insecure about her “skinny ankles”.

Meanwhile, 77-year-old Janet said she refuses to wear a string of ensembles and has become rigid with her looks over the years. Snapping at Janet, Kaye unexpectedly declared: “Well look, let's see these bl**dy...”

She then gasped and grabbed her mouth, realising she had just sworn live on air. Brenda screamed in disbelief over what Kaye had just said.

She then branded the group of women as "naughty" after a series of blunders that happened on the show during the segment.

Earlier on, Janet used some unfavourable language when they discussed the return of lads' mags.

Brenda was heard saying: "Everybody is naughty on this panel today. You lot are naughty," she added with a smirk to the audience and continued to laugh.

Meanwhile, Denise, 66, chimed in and said: "One, Two, Three, it is half term Kaye Adams," before kicking her feet up on the desk.

Denise made a series of remarks throughout the show to remind the women that they were to keep their outspoken debates to a minimum as children were at home, and it was a daytime talk show.

Kaye was left lost for words after her outburst and was forced to silence her co-stars as they continued to laugh.

However, she did profusely apologise for the remark, both to the live audience and the viewers at home.

She said: "I apologise for the language of the anchor of Loose Women today. I am sorry for any offence that has been caused."

Kaye added: "Who can blame me, who can blame me, look at those shoes," as she pointed to Denise's outrageous fashion staple.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV and ITV.
