The Repair Shop fans were left in floods of tears after host Jay Blades pulled in his trusty team to restore a beloved piece of furniture.
In the classic episode, the guest asked if the leather armchair he purchased with his late partner 40 years ago could be restored. He explained to Jay and BBC upholstery restorer Sonnaz Nooranvary, that the chair was close to his heart as it was the first item they ever bought together.
Opening up on their love story, Lee confessed they met in a bar back in 1983. He said he was on a party holiday while Greg was deployed there after serving in the American Air Force.
It took them several years to settle after complicated issues with Greg's visa. He was heard saying: "Everything was beautiful. We had a brand-new life and brand new flat together and this was our first piece of furniture we got together to build our home."
However, six months later, Greg found out he was HIV positive and died within the year, just a few weeks before his 30th birthday. This left viewers distraught after finding out about his tragic loss.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one user wrote: "Catching up on the new episode of TheRepairShop. Oh, god, no… the chair… I’m already crying…"
A second penned: "Absolutely bawling!". A third chimed in and added: "Amazing that something as mundane as a chair can evoke such memories. This is why everything in The Repair Shop is treated with such reverence. Glorious viewing."
Meanwhile, others said they were caught off guard by how emotional they would become, while others praised the excellent restoration job.

This comes after Jay suffered a huge family loss and recently announced that he had split from his wife.
In light of the compelling circumstances, it was said by his representatives that he would be taking some time away from work commitments.
On Thursday he cancelled an appearance at Hay Festival. He was due to speak to journalist Sarfraz Manzoor at the Welsh Literary Festival.
In a social media post at the beginning of the month and following the death of his uncle, he said he was taking time off to "take stock and just relax'" but confirmed he would be "back soon."
Just one week later his wife Lisa Zbozen revealed the pair had split following their marriage back in November 2022.
