Darts sensation Luke Littler has hinted at a possible switch to boxing and named an unconventional potential rival. The newly crowned Premier League Darts champion, who has seen his career skyrocket after a stunning run to the final of the World Championship, is now ranked 25th on the PDC Order of Merit.

With his eyes set on further glory and higher rankings, the 17-year old-prodigy hasn't ruled out a foray into the boxing world. A fan of Misfits, Littler expressed his willingness to take on a challenge outside the oche.

"Boxing? Yeah, I'd love to," Littler revealed during an interview with the MMA Hour. "Yeah, why not? I tried it like once or twice when I was younger."

When probed by Ariel Helwani about settling scores in the ring, possibly against a darting foe like Michael van Gerwen or Michael Smith, Littler coyly responded: "I don't want to say anything," before bursting into laughter, reports the Daily Star.

"It's not a darts player. Beavo. Do you know who he is? He just swallows potatoes whole on Tiktok."

"This guy, you don't like him? " Helwani pressed. Littler elaborated: "No. I can't believe you don't know who he is! He eats a Sunday roast whole as well. He actually messaged me on Tiktok saying, 'Do you want to eat a kebab together? ' I just ignored him."

"Someone will beat him anyway," Littler noted. "He will [fight] soon, I don't think it's been announced yet, though."

Brandon Beavis, also known by his alias Beavo, has gone viral for leaving no morsel of food un-rated and famously failing to chew his meals. Although the possibility of Littler strapping on boxing gloves seems far-fetched, Beavo didn't hesitate to reply to the darting prodigy's cheeky dig.

"Lukey Littler, what the hell are you doing calling big Beavo out? I've just been on Twitter and I've seen you on a podcast calling me out," he retorted on Tiktok.

"I've got everyone lining up. Why's everyone hate me, man? Listen, Luke Littler go back to darts, go back to playing FIFA. Spend all your wages on FIFA points and whatever you do and get in the gym because you're probably too heavy to fight me anyway. It's going to be a busy Misfits tour for me when I get in the ring!"

Littler is back in darts action this weekend at the US Darts Masters in New York. Littler will make his debut in the event against Matt Campbell, in a repeat of their third round clash at Ally Pally in December.
