- One sailor imitates male felacio with a chicken bone in a teasing/mocking manner. Not in the first scene where two of the sailors are behind bars and one of them brings another some chicken to eat, but the second scene. Afterwards one of them says, "you suck on that like you've done that before!"
- While they are stranded on a raft one sailors says "he is telling me a story that makes this old sailor blush. " someone tells him to finish it and the sailor says "she says, I will give you all the love this life has to offer. And with that she spread herself beneath him guiding him home. "
- The film contains a very brief scene at a strip club where a woman opens her jacket to expose her breasts with pasties barely covering her nipples at 12:05.

- The film contains some scenes which show the graphic injuries the crew sustain when the ship sank.
