Se ele consegue incutir esse pensamento em sua equipe, a tendência é que, por um lado, os superiores se vejam incentivados a acompanhar mais de perto o desempenho de seus comandados e, por outro, os comandados se sentirão mais a vontade para buscar maior apoio de seus superiores. Para que isso dê certo, no entanto, caberá ao Gestor da área ficar atento, buscando inibir avaliações subjetivas dos superiores e demonstrando o mesmo empenho em preparar seu próprio sucessor.

Legislação, processos, ambiente, etc, estão sempre sofrendo alterações e nem sempre sentimos ou percebemos essas mudanças enquanto estamos desenvolvendo nosso trabalho. De nada adianta cobrar esse comportamento da equipe se o Gestor não demonstrar esse comportamento, essa atitude. Por mais que ele cobre e até incentive esse tipo de atitude, o exemplo irá dar a visão prática aos colaboradores que, a partir do que observarem e entenderem entre o que está sendo cobrado e a forma como o Gestor age em situação semelhante.

O bom Gestor é muito parecido com um pai ou uma mãe: tem que estar longe o suficiente para que o filho se arrisque, se desenvolva, porém perto o suficiente para intervir, seja para ajudar, orientar ou corrigir... o grande desafio de educar. Os desafios do Educador são basicamente os mesmos do Gestor. Tendemos a buscar identificar os pontos falhos, os defeitos, os problemas e muitas vezes sequer notamos os pontos fortes, os diferenciais daquilo/daquele que observamos, principalmente no ambiente profissional. Errar faz parte do aprendizado e, portanto, não pode ser demonizado nas organizações (mais importante que não errar é ter a capacidade de reconhecer um erro e ter a capacidade de corrigi-lo). O acerto, a iniciativa, a capacidade de inovação, a criatividade, a colaboração também devem ser percebidos e elogiados... isso não depende de hora marcada, deve ocorrer de forma natural.

This will motivate & incentivise the staff to unlock his or her hidden talents & to pursue excellence in his or her performance going forward.
