In a study published in the British Journal of Cancer titled “Machine learning-based decision support model for selecting intra-arterial therapies for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma,” researchers developed a machine learning model to guide clinical decisions regarding intra-arterial therapies (IATs) for liver cancer patients. The model accurately stratified prognostic risk and guided IAT selection. Key clinical variables, including BCLC grade (Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer), local therapy history, and tumor diameter, played a crucial role in guiding these decisions. Recently, the FDA has accepted a supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for brexpiprazole in combination with sertraline to treat adults with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This combination therapy, supported by data from three randomized clinical trials, demonstrated consistent reductions in #PTSD symptoms. If approved, it would be the first FDA-approved pharmacological option for PTSD in over 20 years.
