Yesterday, AdventHealth Wesley Chapel cut the ribbon on the new Family Medicine Residency practice! ✂️ The new facility will serve to equip and encourage AdventHealth Wesley Chapel's residents as they train in the highest standards of clinical care. This AdventHealth residency program is the first of its kind in Pasco County, demonstrating our long-term commitment to the health and wellbeing of this region. The newly renovated 13,000 square foot practice features state-of-the-art facilities, including an in-house laboratory, procedure room, classrooms and 11 exam rooms. The physician shortage in Florida is currently projected to be 36,000 by 2035. AdventHealth aims to address this growing need, with plans to graduate 88 residents over the next three years through our GME programs at AdventHealth Sebring, AdventHealth Tampa and AdventHealth Wesley Chapel.
