AgriCapture works directly with rice farmers and ranchers to implement and certify sustainable practices. In 2023, Climate Action Reserve issued us the first-ever avoided grasslands conversion carbon credits for the state of Texas. In 2024, we secured the first large-scale carbon credit issuance for rice methane reductions in the U.S. (via Climate Action Reserve) Plus, we are bringing real, sustainable rice to your bowl. In 2024, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture recognized us for bringing the first product to market under the USDA Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities. You can work with us to: - source rice with certified nutrient + sustainability qualities - reduce your Scope 3 emissions - offset residual emissions with high-integrity carbon credits - conserve grasslands and rangelands Let's grow responsibly!

🛰️Pay attention to the sky tonight 🛰️ The Sentinel-2C satellite is scheduled for launch! What does that mean? The Sentinel-2C launch will prolong the life of the Sentinel-2 mission, a series of Earth observation satellites. This launch will deliver a continuous time series of satellite imagery. Why is that important? This means that the data we use today will be available in the future. That continuity is vital as we monitor water and vegetation on farms. Plus, interpreting this freely accessible data reduces the data collection burden for farmers and allows us to confirm regenerative farming practices remotely. So, bring on the field imagery cake and the watch party! You can watch the launch here via ARIANESPACE + European Commission + European Space Agency - ESA #Copernicus https://lnkd.in/etk2vcK Extra thanks to our Remote Sensing Specialist, Emily Sardello. We're glad she's in our orbit.

Our team had a great time at Newtopia Now this week! We appreciated hearing perspectives from food distributors, retailers, brands, and farmers on: ➡ Defining and advancing regenerative agriculture ➡ Importance of paying producers for their efforts ➡ The future of consumer preferences It’s always great to catch up with familiar faces, make new connections, and bring fresh insights back to our team in Nashville!

Thank you to US Rice Producers Association for hosting us in the Missouri bootheel yesterday, where the 2024 harvest is already underway! 🌾 The Missouri Rice Field Day covered updates on rice varieties, weed control, and water availability — important topics that help AgriCapture support rice farmers and their efforts to save water and reduce GHGs. We love any chance to meet and learn from farmers, researchers, and others in the rice industry!

AgriCapture's Sr. Agronomist, Lee Atwill, PhD checking on in-field water level sensors! Water level sensors provide ground-truth detection of drying events in Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD). Direct measurement data augments remote sensing and MRV for carbon markets and Climate-Friendly Rice. This field will produce a rice crop with over 30% less water and over 50% less methane than conventional rice production- all backed by AgriCapture's rigorous data collection and reporting!

Researchers have called for immediate action to reduce methane emissions ➡ https://lnkd.in/eaDPUPXj The good news? You can support rice farmers reducing methane emissions now. While reducing all greenhouse gases and removing carbon is important, methane is the strongest lever we can quickly pull to reduce warming between now and 2030. Methane avoidance projects mean: ✅ Immediate impact ✅ Potent warming mitigation ✅ No risk of reversal
