Looking forward to helping connect more people together.

Huge Sucessful Aigen Supply Chain Social! Too many people to name everyone by name, but I wanted to thank you all for being there. It is a small token of gratitude from me and the rest of Aigen to you all for helping make the Element robot successful during the inaugural weeding season. Highlights of visit included all of our suppliers in attendance being able to drive the Element Robot! We discussed how the Element robot checks three key boxes: 1) #sustainability - using solar power and mechanical weeding we improve the environment. 2) #AI powered robots are autonomous and can pinpoint weeds and remove to improve crop health and yield. 3) #automation of tasks are required to remove weeds which have become herbicide resistant that otherwise would need to be manually removed by human labor. There just doesn’t seem to be enough people to weed every farm. I got lots of individual feedback from you all, mentioning this was a great event and you feel more connected with our product. (Was a huge highlight to see you all driving the robots! I saw smiles as big as could be) It was great to see the #collaboration between our suppliers over competition. I am looking toward each of our suppliers to leverage your strengths, not focus on negative. It is through these types of interactions we can build a strong working relationship and make quick actions to propel the Aigen Element production forward. This is the kind of supply chain I am looking to develop. One that cares about our product and the vision of Aigen. A supply chain that has a long term vision of collaboration and sees how revolutionary the Aigen Element is. Don’t worry, I heard your all feedback. We will have more opportunities to meet like this. For those not able to attend this session, don’t worry. We have more like this coming up! Thank you again - and look forward to next time!

There are hundreds of different pesticides (pesticides include herbicides) sprayed on the food we eat. Many are known to cause short-term and chronic health problems. It’s not often the EPA regulates them; however an emergency order was placed yesterday to ban the use of a herbicide, DCPA. The herbicide has been banned in the European Union since 2009. This is a big deal. 💥 “In this case, pregnant women who may never even know they were exposed could give birth to babies that experience irreversible lifelong health problems.” “The suspension came after more than a decade of back-and-forth between the EPA and the sole manufacturer of DCPA, the AMVAC Chemical Corporation.” "Mily Treviño Sauceda, executive director of Alianza Nacional de Campesinas, a national organization of women farmworkers, called the EPA’s decision 'historic.'" Could Roundup be next? #agriculture #pesticides USDA US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

It's *incredibly easy* to be frustrated, criticize others, and only think about the future or past. On the other hand, it’s *incredibly difficult* to be mindful, thankful, and present. At Aigen, we have an opportunity to: - Make an impact on farmers’ lives and their customers (every person on the 🌎). - Build a company alongside talented and passionate co-workers. Many of whom I learn new things from every day in agronomy, robotics, and business development. Check out that team! - Be a part of events like the first-ever Bloomberg Green in Seattle and meet other people who want to make a real world positive impact. If you get a chance, join an impact driven company. It's worth it. Special thanks to AnnaMaria White, for all the coordination that went into the event last week, and to my co-founder Kenny Lee. #thankful #startups #mindfulness #robotics #solar #bbggreenfestival

From The Washington Post, everyone needs to know the truth about what is going on behind the scenes to limit consumers' ability to hold corporations accountable. A few bullets: * The biotech giant Bayer (Monsanto) has lobbied Congress over the past year to advance legislation that could shield the company from billions of dollars in lawsuits, part of a national campaign to defeat claims that its weed killer Roundup causes cancer in people who use it frequently. * The approximately 1,000-page House version of the Farm Bill contains a single section — drafted with the aid of Bayer — that could halt some lawsuits against Roundup. * Bayer also has sought to reshape federal, state and local laws, hoping to erect a blockade against future lawsuits. Over the past year, the company has helped advance bills in Idaho, Iowa and Missouri, according to state lobbying records, each of which could effectively immunize the company against allegations that its chemicals can cause cancer. * Two key politicians who are helping to push this agenda forward in DC are Reps. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) and Jim Costa (D-Calif.), both of whom are members of the House Agriculture Committee. https://lnkd.in/ecWGqGn9 #organic #pesticides #glyphosate #cancer
