Congratulations to Karen Ford, winner of the Ally Sees Her Award, developed with NAMAD to recognize a woman of color in auto retail for their commitment to community and diversity. Our Diverse Abilities Employee Resource Group (ERG) went racing this weekend! 🏁 Ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway, some of our Diverse Abilities ERG members were given a VIP race day experience, which included a meet and greet with Ally 48 driver Alex Bowman and discussions with industry members about accessibility enhancements in racing. All of this was made possible through Ally Racing's First Lap program, which is designed to bring people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences to the track for the first time to help demystify the sport.

Our third year as platinum sponsor for the ALPFA Inc - Association of Latino Professionals For America convention! Some of our Aliados Employee Resource Group (ERG) teammates headed to Las Vegas for the convention, where we talked with hundreds of potential interns and applicants, held workshops, sponsored ALPFA student scholarships and received recognition for our involvement with the local Michigan ALPFA chapter. The Ally team was energized and more engaged than ever with the professional Latino community that ALPFA represents.

Our Generational ALLYs Employee Resource Group (ERG) participated in a fun event to Bring Smiles to Seniors. Whether cutting and pasting, stenciling or drawing something original, Ally employees came together from several locations to create one-of-a-kind cards with messages of love and support for residents of senior centers across the country. Ally is a Gold Card Angel donor, with over 2,500 cards delivered to the Bring Smiles to Seniors organization. 💜

As we wrap up the Summer, we want to give a round-of-applause 👏 to our interns. Ally hosted 244 interns in total... 🌟 across 15 different Ally locations 🌟 from 81 different universities 🌟 reporting to 205 different managers 🌟 41 returning interns from summer of 2023 Thank you to all who joined us! The latest Ally Tech Enrichment Experience, powered by our Bridging the Digital Divide Program (BDD), was held for 60 rising college sophomores with the Road to Hire “Career Explore” program. Students visited the Ally Charlotte Center (ACC) where they participated in an interactive financial education workshop. Students also learned about the company internship program and heard directly from our intern & early talent teammates who discussed their career journey and tips for success. With digital inclusion being a core part of our community engagement strategy, our BDD program is designed to help close the digital equity gap in underserved communities. We're so excited to introduce Money Roots - a free financial education program designed to help people understand the why behind their money behaviors. Standing at 14-feet tall in New York City, we planted a Money Tree 💵 🌳 where visitors can pull a "leaf" and answer prompts to kickstart their financial wellness journey. Historically, money psychology conversations have taken place at academic institutions and investment firms, but this is something that impacts all of us. As a financial ally, we want to help people understand, learn and ultimately change money behaviors. Available to anyone, the facilitator-guided workshops led by money wellness experts will help people rewrite their money story and create roadmaps for improving their financial health and wellness.
