    The Alta team is fresh off our trip to the Big Apple 🍎 for Affiliate Summit East 2024! We spent a productive four days in NYC with so many learnings and updates to bring back to our clients. We're big on numbers, so here's a quick breakdown of what we accomplished: ✔18,998 roundtrip miles collectively traveled across the team going to and from Orange County, CA and Tampa, FL  ✔ 36 partner meetings held creating new opportunities and further building relationships for our clients  ✔ 5 in person client meetings ✔ 3 panels, 1 Fireside Chat and 1 Networking Reception attended at Martech Record's MARCC NY Event discussing key topics like the evolution of the consumer funnel in 2024, where Communities and Reddit fall into affiliate marketing and creating value for consumers  ✔Countless hours of team bonding and exploring NYC's amazing food scene Check out some of the pics we snapped while we were there.     Fresh off of our visit with our partners at TikTok last week, we’re excited to continue to utilize TikTok Shop to drive incremental revenue and growth for our clients. We love this guide from Forbes for getting set up. (https://lnkd.in/gC7Xn8uu) But it’s important to remember that TikTok Shop is still a new channel for online sales in the US, and best practices and strategies are evolving. What worked a few months ago may not work today, which is why we always recommend consistent testing. The biggest challenge we see with brands is the amount of effort and strategy the TikTok Shop creator partnerships take. Here’s where we’ve found the most success to fuel these partnerships:  ✅ Engaging with the creators directly via TikTok Shop with high volume but highly personalized outreach messaging  ✅ Growing that messaging with a process and system for outreach, follow ups, tracking and fulfilling sample requests  ✅ Finding the balance between the creators who clearly have a direct fit to your brand for authenticity and personalization, while also testing some creators who might surprise you in terms of the new audiences they can introduce to your brand.     The Alta Media Partners team had the opportunity to visit TikTok Headquarters in LA last week, where we connected with our #partners and dove into strategy sessions around all things TikTok Shop. With social commerce sales projected to top $144 billion over the next couple of years, it’s more important than ever for brands to prioritize TikTok Shop as part of their affiliate partnerships strategy. When we speak to DTC brands, a few of the most common challenges we hear about when scaling are: • Getting minimal to no responses from outreach to creators • Allocating enough resources to finding new creators and negotiating terms • Insufficient tracking and reporting setup for sales attribution • Creating an efficient system for managing sample requests and follow through with creators Success in affiliate partnerships is largely dependent on your level of input—you get out what you put in. TikTok Shop is no different.
