AquaBounty's land-based farms use multiple layers of physical, geographic, and biological containment to protect our salmon and ensure they don't escape. Our GE salmon raised in our production farm are all female and sterile fish that are unable to breed among themselves or with other salmon, further reducing any impact on wild #salmon populations and species diversity. Countries around the world recognize the importance of land-based #aquaculture—a trend that will continue as the world’s population grows and the need for a healthy, #sustainable source of protein continues to increase. #AquaBounty will use its expertise in #RAS farming operations, fish genetics, and a culture of continuous improvement to lead the industry in a safe, secure and sustainable way to feed the world.

#AquaBounty saw significant progress in 2023 through expansion of our #RandD facility on #PrinceEdwardIsland; ongoing process improvements at our Albany, Indiana, farm; and a focus on #VerticalIntegration as we continuously improve salmon health and production across the salmon lifecycle. An estimated 35% of adults in the United States suffer from vitamin D deficiency, which can show up as fatigue, bone pain, muscle weakness, aches or cramps, and even mood changes like seasonal depression.
