Last week, we shared an article from The New York Times about the risks posed by rising temperatures to mail-order #medications. On our end, we’ve seen firsthand how challenging it’s becoming to maintain the integrity of sensitive shipments. Below is a sample shipment from July of the Medstow Micro—our reusable shipper—showing the impact of hotter #temperatures on the transport of critical goods. At Artyc, we’re closely monitoring these changes to ensure that our solutions continue to deliver reliability, even under extreme conditions. Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing a more in-depth analysis of these challenges, and how they can be addressed as well.

In our latest article, we share more about why we believe that Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) are an essential tool in measuring impact. #LCAs provide a detailed view of operations, helping businesses identify and mitigate their environmental impacts more effectively. We cover what an LCA is, how it works, why it’s crucial for sustainable practices, the standards governing LCAs, and the steps required to conduct an LCA. Check out the full guide here: https://lnkd.in/g6crkTyY In part two of this series, we’ll share the results of our Medstow Micro LCA. You'll get an inside look at how we're using these findings to make better decisions, and drive sustainability in #temperature-controlled transportation.

As the summer heat intensifies, the integrity of mail-order medications is under threat. A recent article from The New York Times reports how as temperatures inside delivery trucks soar, the efficacy of critical #medications is at risk. At Artyc, we’ve seen this first hand in our shipments throughout the U.S — with ambient air temperatures reaching as high as 120° F. Our mission is to ensure that sensitive goods, such as life-saving medications, arrive safely and securely, regardless of the conditions outside. Check out this powerful report from the Centre for Sustainable Cooling. In “The Hot Reality: Living in a +50°C World,” we get an excellent analysis of why #cooling should be treated as critical national infrastructure, and the impact it is having on climate change. We’re using it to reflect on the ways that we help companies avoid #spoilage. At Artyc, we’re also focused on taking a systems-level approach, since cooling is a multi-order problem. Definitely check out the summary – it’s one of the best we’ve seen on the topic of clean cooling: https://lnkd.in/gqwg2BZT

In our newest piece, we put together a behind-the-scenes look from Artyc’s latest retreat. The whole team met in Santa Cruz, and during our stay, we focused on putting our 3 core values into action. For example, to work toward our goal of continually evolving, we dedicated a good chunk of our retreat to mastering the art of #feedback. In a hands-on workshop, we practiced giving and receiving feedback consistently. We learned, honed our skills, and left better equipped to support each other’s growth. For the full recap and more photos of the gang, check out the link in the comments.

Recently, we had the opportunity to attend the DIA Global Annual Meeting, a premier event for the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. With professionals from four different continents, #DIA2024 was the perfect venue to collaborate, advance ideas, and shape the landscape of clinical operations. Throughout the conference, one of the things we noticed was the significant emphasis on direct-to-patient (DTP) and direct-from-patient (DFP) shipping. Industry experts highlighted the increasing importance of these solutions for improving patient access to new products and clinical trials. It’s a shift that’s being driven by the demand for better #healthcare and the efficiency of patient-centric logistics. We also heard insights on everything from track and trace capabilities to public health and data monitoring. For more of our takeaways from DIA 2024, check out the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dTMknmk8
