I had the pleasure of sitting down with Deborah Stadtler, CAE, Editor-in-Chief of Provider Magazine, to discuss the benefits of the AHCA Quality Award program for both the facility provider and the examiner. We discussed how receiving a Quality Award is a big accomplishment and shows dedication to the industry and the patients and residents we serve. But even without receiving an award, providers going through the writing process can get a fresh perspective on some of their systems and processes, ultimately leading to an improvement in quality. As we enter Quality Award writing season, AHCA/NCAL continues to release guidance and trainings to help guide you through the process. I encourage every LTC facility to explore the Quality Award process and give it a go!
