Aravind Anbazhagan, Business Operations Analyst Co-Op: "During my master’s program, I've focused on mastering data analysis and computer visualization to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. This foundation has been invaluable in my current co-op, where I'm actively applying these skills to real-world data integration projects. It’s exciting to take classroom knowledge and bring it to life at the industry level. The hands-on experience I've gained here has been both challenging and rewarding. In honor of the Olympics, our New York #BlueRockers staged an inaugural Lab Olympics on Friday, complete with pipetting challenges, blindfolded PPE, and lots of heart! Congrats – you’re all gold medal winners in our book! #Community

#BlueRockers were able to experience tremor, a symptom of Parkinson’s disease, at our recent All Hands event. Participants were fitted with a device developed by Klick Health, which simulated the actual tremor pattern of two people living with #ParkinsonsDisease. The impact of this event was felt deeply by all who were able to join. Thank you to Klick for providing a meaningful way of understanding the patient experience.

Our ophthalmology indications, primary photoreceptor diseases, are a subgroup of inherited retinal disorders that includes retinitis pigmentosa and cone-rod dystrophies. These diseases affect the structure and function of the photoreceptor cells in the retina, leading to irreversible vision loss in both children and adults. #BlueRockers were able to temporarily experience how vision loss affects daily life at our recent All Hands meeting. Participants could don specially made goggles that simulate vision loss associated with advanced RP and cone-rod dystrophies to understand first-hand what it's like to navigate the world. #Ophthalmology

Introducing Amit Rakhit, MD, MBA! Amit joins BlueRock as our new Chief Development and Medical Officer. A passionate physician and seasoned drug developer, Amit has helped to build and lead life science companies of all shapes and sizes, including Bristol Myers Squibb and Biogen, where he led the global medical team and development programs for orphan and rare diseases including Spinraza for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy.
