At Bread Financial, we believe in nurturing talent from within and providing opportunities for growth and development. Our Apprentice Program is a six-month, hands-on developmental program that offers our operations associates experience in roles typically found in our corporate functions.   Through this program, we offer participants on the job experience, mentorship and professional development training, with the goal to place these associates in a corporate role at the end of the program. We generally see over 90% of the associates in the program enjoy the experience enough to stay in that role. It’s not just about learning the ropes; it’s about shaping future leaders.   Our apprentices always bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a passion for learning that invigorates our entire team, which was evident in my recent roundtable discussion with our current apprentice class. In return, we provide them with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive and succeed. On August 10, Bread Financial associates, led by members of the Black Leadership Associate Connection Business Resource Group and the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, participated in the African American Male Wellness Agency's Black Men's Wellness Day to raise awareness of health and wellness resources available to black men in the Greater Columbus area. As I reflect on my first three years at Bread Financial, our Company’s collective efforts to measurably improve our financial position and business success are worth recognizing. Since 2021, we have increased transparency and engagement with investors, significantly improved our capital ratios, and driven shareholder value by increasing our tangible book value per share by 80%. Additionally, we've reduced parent-level debt by over 50%, representing a $1.5 billion reduction of outstanding debt. I am proud to work with an amazing group of associates focused on responsible growth, maintaining discipline with capital allocation, and strengthening our balance sheet and company value amidst challenging economic and regulatory environments. Our financial achievements over the last three years are noteworthy, but equally important is our dedication to bettering the lives of our associates and the communities we serve. Over the past three years we have expanded our benefits, made strategic investments to empower the communities where we live and work, and provided more opportunities for associates to volunteer and contribute to charitable causes. This has led to an enhanced workplace culture that is inclusive, supportive, and recognized for its excellence. The significant accomplishments our teams have achieved over these last three transformational years have been exciting and deeply rewarding. The future holds immense promise for our Company, and working alongside my peers and colleagues, I have no doubt my next three years and beyond will be equally fulfilling.
