It’s #ThrowbackThursday! Pictured here is a Californian driving up a hill dating back to 1916. The Motor Vehicle Act of 1913 introduced regulations for driving on mountain roads. The act stated that when moving on a mountain pass curvature in which a driver did not have a clear view for at least 100 yards, a driver had to give warning of his vehicle’s approach with “frequent blasts or strokes of horn, bells, whistles, gong or other adequate signaling device.”
