Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic group of student-athletes from The BASE for a tour of our brand new, trophy office building, One Congress. The day was filled with enriching and educational moments to show these student-athletes what a career in commercial real estate looks like. Our Boston associates led a building tour and shared insights about the intricacies of developing, leasing, and operating an office building. They also hosted mock interviews to help these young adults prepare for college and internship interviews. Thank you for visiting and we look forward to continuing our partnership with The BASE!

In partnership with Perkins Eastman’s ForrestPerkins, we are excited to share our renovation plans for 1875 K Street NW in Washington, DC. The comprehensive repositioning involves a full lobby renovation including installation of a new coffee bar, fitness center enhancements, and the addition of a third-floor conference center and lounge that can accommodate up to 100 people. All spaces will be infused with Carr’s signature #CarrExperience approach and distinctive culture of hospitality. Did you know that there is a beehive on the rooftop of our Signal House property? In partnership with Love & Carrots, the hive supports local pollinators all summer long. Located at 1255 Union Street NE in Washington, DC, the hive produces 40-50 lbs of honey each year! We are proud to support local pollination and contribute to a greener neighborhood through our rooftop beekeeping efforts.

We’re pleased to share that 100 Congress, a revitalized office tower lobby led by design principal Kirsten Ring Murray FAIA, has been featured online by The Architect's Newspaper! “At 100 Congress, our fundamental driver was to make the space feel right from a scale perspective. The existing lobby was large and somewhat amorphous, so we placed furniture like coffee bar in the center and added a low lantern to create a more intimate scale,” Kirsten shares. “Comfortable, functional seating groups also provide more intimate experiences with a connection to the garden outside.
