On Tuesday, August 27th at 9:30am, the Adams County Commissioners will be voting on a proclamation signifying September officially has Workforce Development Month in Adams County. Each September, the commissioners celebrate Workforce Development Month to recognize, honor, and publicize the contributions of our county's workforce professionals. It is a great opportunity to heighten public awareness, strengthen alliances, leverage resources, and increase the number of people who understand the vital role workforce development plays in the economy.  This in person event will be held at 4430 S Adams County Pkwy, Brighton, CO 80601 ##WorkforceDev2024

The Teacher Externship Program partnered with Encore Electric, Inc. and Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter (IECRM) to provide them opportunities to learn more about career opportunities for their students interested in the electrical trade. In partnership with the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment (CDLE) and the Aerospace Sector Partnership, convened by Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, the Colorado Space Business Roundtable (CSBR), Colorado Department of Education, the teachers gained first-hand exposure and insights into aerospace careers in Colorado, while building valuable relationships with community leaders and elected officials who are aerospace champions. The Colorado Employment Situation for July: A quick highlight, Colorado’s labor force increased by 5,500 in July to 3,242,900.
