CECOM SEC recently restored two critical Biometrics Automated Toolset - Army (BAT-A) systems to full mission capability for Soldiers in Kosovo. SEC’s commitment to system security was evident in providing the required patches and ensuring the systems were cyber-secure and capable of collecting and querying critical biometric data. CECOM SEC took the day on Aug. 15, 2024, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, to celebrate the workforce that makes this organization great. Food, games, and prizes were provided to give SEC members and their families a much-needed break from the mission at hand of operating and sustaining US Army software capabilities.

CECOM SEC is supporting the 25th Infantry Division and 3/25 Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Garuda Shield 2024 (GS24) mission’s software resourcing. GS24 is a military exercise with seven supporting nations—Indonesia, the U.S., Australia, Japan, Singapore, France, and the U.K.—that will be held from August 26 to September 5, 2024. By doing so, you protect not only yourself but also those around you. Join us in promoting a healthier community through awareness and action.

#Innovation never sleeps! Transforming technology to meet Soldiers’ needs is a relentless pursuit. Last week, CECOM SEC and Project Manager Mission Command met with Soldiers and civilians from different units to discuss the possibility of using open-source and low-cost cloud-enabled Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI) compared to the currently fielded system’s functions and capabilities. The meeting is crucial because the shift could enhance operational capabilities while reducing costs—ultimately ensuring our Soldiers have access to the most efficient technology available.

In June, CECOM SEC deployed four Field Software Engineers to Israel to repair software on non-mission capable Army Watercraft Systems (AWS) required for United States Central Command’s (CENTCOM) humanitarian mission. SEC supplies mission-focused reimbursable support worldwide. #MissionReadiness
