Last Thursday, the Tampa Bay Lightning honored the legacy of David Pizzo, a true fan and a pillar of our community, who recently passed away after a private battle with pancreatic cancer. This is the first time the Lightning have chosen to award someone who has passed away, highlighting the kind of impact Dave made here in Tampa Bay. The Pizzo family, who received a $50,000 donation from the Tampa Bay Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Hero program, presented by Jabil, on behalf of Dave, donated the money to the American Cancer Society and other local organizations.
