We’ve witnessed a crucial development in Missouri’s child welfare system. The state has reported an 80% reduction in its backlog of child abuse and neglect cases in 2024. Our team at the Change & Innovation Agency, a vimo company has been deeply involved in supporting these efforts, working tirelessly to implement effective strategies and streamline processes. The reduction in the backlog is a testament to the impact of our collective dedication to reform and innovation in child welfare. An ongoing child welfare transformation project conducted in partnership between the Missouri Department of Social Services and Change & Innovation Agency (C!A) led to national recognition and incredible results. “We’ve helped several states and large child welfare offices re-imagine how to manage the workload and workflow, and we’ve seen some radical results, but St. Louis was, by far, the hardest hit by this national capacity crisis,” said Bill Bott, Child Welfare Practice Lead and Director of Performance Improvement at C!A.
