Unwind your perfectionism by having compassion for yourself as you work through your past and current survival techniques. Give yourself permission to feel the way you feel. It is okay to be sad or mad or depressed or anxious. You don't have to be 'perfect'. Understand that your behaviors have served you well. You should love that part of yourself. You were always doing your best in each moment equipped with what knowledge and understanding you had. Explore the parts of yourself that you tend to keep hidden. Listen to the thoughts, the feelings and emotions that come up. Give yourself love and compassion. Explore how you show up in your current relationships. Are some relationships that are closer and more authentic than others? How do those relationships differ and how do they feel? #SelfCompassion #MentalHealthAwareness #EmotionalWellness #InnerHealing #MindfulLiving #RelationshipReflection #EmotionalIntelligence #SelfAwareness #SelfLoveJourney #PersonalGrowth

In the U.S., communities of African descent experience mental health conditions about as much as or less than white Americans. However, the historical experience of these communities in the U.S. has been - and continues to be - characterized by trauma and violence more often than for their white counterparts. As part of our celebration of Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month this July, we’ve added new resources for BIPOC communities to our website. "I went through some tough times with in my early 30's with severe anxiety and a mentally unhealthy relationship. I started therapy in 2011 and have been talking with a therapist monthly ever since. It has helped change my life for the better in so many ways and I want others to know that whatever their current situation is, it does not have to stay that way. We are stronger and more capable than we tend to believe." #MentalHealthAwareness #TherapyWorks #AnxietySupport #SelfCareMatters #MentalWellness #BreakTheStigma #YouAreNotAlone #MindfulnessJourney #EmotionalHealing #PositiveChange #che

Don’t let these habits drain your energy.
Follow for daily posts on business & personal growth I Co-Founder at Heights I 5 time Founder/CEO I Angel Investor In 85 Startups I Top UK Business Podcast, 50M downloads
12 everyday habits that are slowly draining you (and how to stop them) 1) Starting the day with your phone. The first 30 minutes of your day sets the tone for the remaining 23.5 hours. Don't let others dictate your priorities. Start with a healthy habit, like exercise, meditation, or reading. 2) Skimping on sleep. The quality of your work is determined by the quality of your sleep. Sleep deprivation: ◦ Reduces cognitive performance ◦ Diminishes memory ◦ Lowers mood Don't focus on the number but rather the quality of sleep you get. 3) Multitasking. Multitasking is a myth. You can't focus on two things at once and do them both well. Instead, focus on one task and complete it before moving on to the next. 4) Sitting all day. Sitting all day leads to health issues like back pain, obesity, and heart disease. Get up and move every 30 minutes. ◦ Take walking breaks ◦ Stand while working ◦ Do simple exercises A healthy body leads to a healthy mind. 5) Eating unhealthy food. Junk food slows you down. It takes too much energy for your body to digest and leaves you feeling sluggish. Instead, opt for a balanced meal of whole foods, vegetables, and protein. Fuel your body with the energy needed to be productive. 6) Not drinking enough water. Dehydration reduces brain function, concentration and clarity. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. 7) Holding grudges. Holding onto grudges, anger, and resentment holds you back. It's a heavy weight to carry, that drains you emotionally. Forgive and move on. 8) Not practicing gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful tool. It helps shift your focus from negative to positive. Take time every day to reflect on what you're grateful for. 9) Saying yes to everything. Saying yes to everything leads to burnout. It's easy to say no. Set boundaries and only take on what you can handle. 10) Procrastination. Procrastination leads to stress and hasty work. Start by breaking tasks into small manageable parts and working on them in sequence. 11) Not taking breaks. Taking breaks helps recharge your brain. It lets you come back more focused, and it can help you avoid burnout. 12) Comparing yourself to others. Comparison drains your mental energy. Instead, focus on your progress and what you're doing to improve. Don't let these everyday habits hold you back. Start making small changes, and watch as they quickly lead to big improvements. ------------------------------------------------- If you’re the OG owner of this image, DM me for credits! ------------------------------------------------- Follow me Dan Murray-Serter 🧠 for more on habits and leadership. ♻️ Repost this if you think it can help someone in your network! 🖐️ P.S Join my newsletter The Science Of Success where I break down stories and studies of success to teach you how to turn it from probability to predictability here: https://lnkd.in/ecuRJtrr
