Did you know August is National Breastfeeding Month?🤱🍼Members of our staff attended the Uplifting Black and Brown Lactation Success Conference which strives to deepen connections among North Carolina's Black and Brown maternal health workforce by identifying and dismantling structural barriers to entry and retention. While there, they collected some advice for breastfeeding moms. #CHS4Families

This past weekend Children's Home Society licensed foster parents, Andy and Allison, celebrated the adoption of the three brothers who have been in their care since 2021! 🎉👨👩👦👦✨ The parents have provided a loving and stable home filled with many opportunities for the boys to grow and learn. Having a positive shared parenting relationship with the boys' birth mother, Allison and Andy worked hard to assist in reunification. As the plan changed to adoption, they sought support as everyone grieved the loss. Over the years, the family has has relied on community resources and CHS to help navigate various challenges and successes. With the help of humor and lighthearted fun, they have been able to overcome. We look forward to the many celebrations that are to come! Congratulations Team Tessena!🥳 #CHS4families

Nearly 1,100 children had loving foster families embrace them in their time of need. 6,600+ families participated in healthy parenting education and support services.
