Cipher senior global correspondent Bill Spindle first went to Texas back in 2016 to report from the state’s oil patch. He found, to his surprise, wind turbines everywhere he looked. It turned out a huge renewables boom was underway in the Lone Star state. The huge gains in wind energy have been followed by even more impressive growth in #solar. That in turn is now being extended by a boom in #battery storage, as the state is expected to soon top even renewable energy powerhouse California.
