Cohu Malaysia employees laced up for a charity run on September 7th at Ayer Keroh Botanical Gardens, Melaka. Around 115 participants attended the physical run, while 60 others joined virtually, surpassing our target. Everyone took part in the 3 km and 5 km categories, followed by a mystery quest lucky draw for the physical runners. Donations collected will support the Disabled Children Centre in Bukit Baru, Melaka, helping vulnerable children with challenging disabilities. A big thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success!

It was an honor to host InvestPenang at our Cohu, Inc. HQ in Poway, California strengthening our relationship. In June, we also had the honor of hosting MIMOS Berhad, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and InvestPenang at the Opening Ceremony of our Semiconductor Test Design Center in Penang, Malaysia, Our design center will focus on developing next-generation high-speed digital and analog instrumentation.
Today, Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow and InvestPenang delegates concluded their 10-day investment and trade mission to the United States, organised by InvestPenang. During the trip, they participated in a total of 22 official strategic meetings and site visits with existing and potential investors, aimed to renew ties and strengthen relationships with the corporate headquarters of US investors in Penang, encourage the expansion of their Penang sites, and attract new investments. Among the key topics discussed were the transformative impact of AI, Penang’s role in the global supply chain, Penang’s talent capabilities and the state’s direction towards ESG principles. The delegates also presented Penang’s recent initiatives to the corporate headquarters in the United States, namely Penang Silicon Design @5km+ and Penang STEM Talent Blueprint. Overall, this 10-day trip offered insights into the future of AI and new technologies and also strengthened the relationship between Penang and our international partners.

It is back-to-school season! Our colleagues in Cohu, Inc. Laguna recently organized a Back-to-School drive for students from kindergarten through 6th grade. Our team distributed over 140 hygiene kits for students which included toothbrushes, washcloths, mouthwash and more, giving the kids a happy and healthy start to the school year!

I’m thrilled to share a fantastic project our Cohu, Inc. apprentices have been working on with great dedication and initiative over the past few weeks. They’ve transformed one of our handlers into an impressive "Show Handler," which is now proudly displayed outside one of our meeting rooms.
