  • So immensely proud of our #2024CokeScholars, 150 students graduating high school across the country who are making the world a better place in their own unique way. It was a joy to celebrate them at the 36th annual #CokeScholars Banquet with keynote speaker Carla Harris! Many thanks to John Murphy, Kirk Tyler, Lisa V Chang, Pamela Stewart, and Martin W. for illuminating the support of the Coca-Cola system so brilliantly on stage. Honored to award each Coke Scholar a $20,000 college scholarship and be a part of their journey ahead! 🎓 Read the inspiring banquet remarks from our president, Jane Hale Hopkins, at https://lnkd.in/eGE7uHKv

President, Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation | Amplifying Exceptional Leaders | Committed To Redefining Higher Education | Strengthening Communities Through Scholarship Excellence

Celebrating the Journey Ahead Last night, we celebrated the 2024 Class of Coca-Cola Scholars. The banquet came together as a collaborative effort of diverse artists and technical wizards from all over the country, including ten Coca-Cola Alumni Scholars. A true testament to the magic Coca-Cola Scholars create together! As a community, we wanted to do something very special to honor the 150 young leaders joining us this weekend. We are, first and foremost, a scholarship organization. This year more than a hundred thousand students applied to become Coca-Cola Scholars. And we were honored to consider each one. In the end, though, we had to select just 150 applicants as Scholars. Ultimately, our Scholars were chosen because we believe in them and their potential. And we are delighted to be able to invest in their future. We are also building a community of leaders. As human beings, we are wired for community and connection. And the truth is... none of us gets where we’re going alone. Every one of us needs help. We all need the love and support of others. We need guidance. We need encouragement. We need understanding and compassion. And, like so much of life, this is a two-way street. We give and we receive. With openness. Authenticity. Kindness. And a big-heartedness that puts others’ needs before our own. Coca-Cola Scholars embody and spread the timeless values of Coca-Cola. Optimism. Positivity. Joy. And bringing people together. And they refresh others along the way. They are the not-so-secret formula behind the enduring strength of this community, this family... really. It’s their passion, their commitment, their engagement and their friendship that make all the difference. We’ve heard this again and again over the years, Scholars tell us that being connected to this community moves and motivates them to dream bigger and do bigger for others. One moment. One action. One person at a time. With kindness and love. Coca-Cola Scholars see and seize a better future. Not for some but for all. And we couldn’t be more pleased to be part of their journey. #2024CokeScholars #CokeScholars

  • "A gathering of Coke Scholar alumni, everyone in attendance had won a college scholarship from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation when high school seniors. I received mine in 1996, and looking around the Summit venue, I saw Scholars from the very first class in 1989, 2001, 2015 – even college freshmen from the most recent class. The theme of the Summit was 'Unleash Your Magic.' I’ve attended the previous three Leadership Summits in 2008, 2013, and 2018, and every time I’m amazed at the breadth of this community. Over 6,000 members strong, the Coke Scholars network is indeed a supernatural source of inspiration, change, and impact." Thank you, Courtney M. L. (1996) for sharing your experience at the 2023 Leadership Summit! Read her full blog post, "Unlocking the Magic Within," at https://lnkd.in/dHDafgNZ. #CokeScholars #CokeScholarsMagic
