Über uns

At ComEd, we believe in being an energy partner, not just an energy provider. Being a provider means we deliver electricity to over 4 million customers across northern Illinois, which accounts for about 70 percent of the state’s population. We do so safely and reliably because we are driven by the innovation that comes from the industry expertise our employees offer. And we're committed to pursuing best-in-class performance so that our customers receive the quality service they expect and deserve. We have championed investments in technology that help shorten outages and make them less frequent, and those investments empower our customers to make smart choices about energy usage. Being a partner means we also help our customers discover new ways to save money on electric bills, while also showing how they can help the environment by decreasing their carbon footprint. We also support a range of initiatives that make a difference in people’s lives. Our commitment focuses on education, environment, arts and culture, and community development. At ComEd, #PoweringLives isn’t just a motto. It is the driving force behind everything we do. Learn more about ComEd anytime at www.ComEd.com.

Earlier this year, we launched nearly $90M in rebates for #EV charging infrastructure and fleet EVs to help offset costs of making the switch to electric vehicles. Now, we’re making it even easier to skip the gas pump and power up #EVs at your home or business. Our brand-new Electric Vehicle Service Provider (EVSP) Network will help you find an ICC-certified service provider to install chargers and infrastructure, including ones that qualify for our EV rebate programs. “ComEd created the EVSP network of local, ICC-certified service providers to assist customers with choosing a certified vendor and make it easier for our customers to qualify for ComEd rebates to help offset EV charger and infrastructure costs,” said Melissa Washington, our SVP of customer operations and strategy. This free resource also provides eligible vendors, including contractors, engineering or design firms, training on the processes and procedures of our EV rebate programs. Nearly 50 vendors are currently in the network, and the list is still growing. Any qualified service provider with an ICC EV installer certification may submit an application to be included in our EVSP program. Learn more about this program and our rebates: spr.ly/6003mnRiD

We’re celebrating the latest group of Illinois municipalities that have completed the #EV Readiness Program! Launched in partnership with Metropolitan Mayors Caucus in 2022, this unique program helps communities develop permitting for charging stations, conduct training for local staff and engage residents to ensure a safe transition to EVs. To date, this program has reached nearly 30 communities, and is one example of the investments we’re making to support our customers and communities in the transition to EVs. “Through the EV Readiness Program, cities and counties are developing a foundation to increase EV access for their communities, which will in turn lower emissions, and enhance air quality and boost transportation around the region,” said Gil C. Quiniones, our President and CEO. “We congratulate these latest graduating communities for their work to create a cleaner and more sustainable future.” Learn More: spr.ly/6005mBfw7
