Relying solely on connections with hiring managers to secure placements, while smaller companies compete fiercely for minimal returns, undermines the collaborative spirit of our industry. The reality is that these smaller firms are investing significant resources in job boards and candidate outreach, only to face diminishing returns. If this trend continues, we could see a negative impact on the staffing industry as a whole. It's essential for vendors and subcontractors to work together to find the best candidates for clients, ensuring that compensation reflects the value of the partnership. Strong, long-term relationships should be the goal, fostering mutual growth and success. The increasing prevalence of job postings that exclude third-party or C2C engagements isn't just a loss for candidates—it hampers the hiring process as a whole. While some roles do require direct involvement with candidates, it's important to remember that H1B and F1 visa holders are future citizens who need opportunities to develop new skills. Limiting their options stifles their potential and ultimately hurts the broader job market. As account managers and business development managers, our responsibilities extend beyond finding the right candidate. We should also advise clients on how to improve their hiring processes and candidate selection strategies. Now is the time to join forces and elevate our industry.
