In honor of National Dog Day today, we had a fantastic time at the Wild Western Roundup at Grand Circus Dog Park last Saturday! 🤠🦴 Despite the Lions pre-season game at home, we had a blast with the pups who made their way downtown. The DDP holds its next Community Visioning Session for the I-75 Cap on Tuesday, August 27, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the MSU Detroit Center at 3408 Woodward Avenue. Validated parking is available at the SOMA Parking Garage located on Erskine, between John R and Woodward. Project overview presentations will be held at 6:05 p.m. and again at 7:05 p.m., followed by an interactive community activity. At this session, the DDP and partners will recap the findings from the first session, share the results of the public survey, and begin a deep dive look at alternatives. The DDP was awarded a $2 million grant from the federal Reconnecting Communities program to explore freeway capping options within the I-75 right-of-way. The first session was engaging and well-attended, and we look forward to another productive session.
