We had the pleasure of hosting Zaccharie Risacher at Embassy Suites Atlanta Buckhead. Zaccharie was recently selected as the 2024 NBA 1st draft pick for the Atlanta Hawks! Our very own Human Resource Generalist, LaTara Jester-Taylor, had the chance to chat with him about his experience in Atlanta. Zaccharie shared that he enjoys the city and hopes to make Atlanta his home. We're thrilled to see such talent choosing Atlanta and wish Zaccharie all the best in his NBA journey!

Last week, we celebrated Administrative Professionals' Day by recognizing our incredible Sales Coordinator, Hailey Oleszczuk! It was an incredible honor as we gathered on Saturday, April 20th, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary Scholarship Gala of the Florida A&M University Metro Atlanta Chapter at the Embassy Suites Atlanta Buckhead! The room was filled with 240 attendees, and their dedication to supporting deserving students pursuing higher education at FAMU was evident and inspiring. Amongst the distinguished guests gracing the occasion were luminaries such as Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickins, Florida A&M University President Dr. Larry Robinson, and Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant, each lending their support and enthusiasm for the noble cause. Additionally, we were honored to have the presence of Omari Crawford, State Representative of Georgia District 89, as well as Michael Collins, President of FAMU Metro Atlanta Chapter, Xavier Durden, FAMU National Alumni Association Southern Region Vice President, and esteemed guest speaker Rita Packard. The goal of providing $100,000 in scholarships in 2024 received tremendous support, showcasing our community's commitment to nurturing future leaders. Through the generosity of sponsors, attendees, and supporters, we're not just commemorating five decades of excellence but also ensuring a brighter future for generations to come. Here's to the next 50 years of impact, innovation, and inspiration at Florida A&M University Metro Atlanta Chapter!
