The Family Resource Center Association (FRCA) supports a network of community-based Family Resource Centers in Colorado that help families achieve better health, well-being and economic self-sufficiency. Colorado’s Family Resource Centers utilize FRCA’s Family Pathways model, shared database and assessment tools in providing coordinated family support services to help families achieve greater personal sustainability. Our mission is to strengthen families through partnership and collaboration by supporting the vital work of Family Resource Centers with training, technical assistance, data tools, evaluation and advocacy. FRCA is a membership organization comprising 33 Family Resource Centers that serve families in 57 of Colorado’s 64 counties with strengths-based, culturally-relevant services and referrals. FRCA co-founded the National Family Support Network and is the only training entity in Colorado for the nationally-recognized Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support. Among FRCA’s goals are to: • Increase program effectiveness to maximize positive family and child outcomes • Enhance the organizational capacity and sustainability of Family Resource Centers so they can serve families effectively • Provide opportunities for collaboration and sharing of best practices among member Family Resource Centers for continuous learning and improvement • Be a strong advocate for family strengthening policy and systems change FRCA has advanced the Family Resource Center model to a level of practice and quality that is unique in the United States, with the goal of establishing a replicable evidence-based model that can be applied in other states to improve family outcomes. Working with partners across the state of Colorado, FRCA is a leader in the field of family support and strengthening. Our vision is for a Colorado in which every family is thriving and self-reliant.
