Last year, Fervo became the first company to successfully drill a horizontal well pair for commercial geothermal production at our full-scale commercial pilot, Project Red. Strategic partnerships like our relationship with Helmerich & Payne (H&P) were critical in our success.   Meet Bart, a driller who has worked on H&P’s geothermal rig at Cape Station, who managed safety, drilling efficiency and best practices at our site. 💡 Inspiring Curiosity in Future Innovators! 🔬 We were delighted to host a STEM Day for kids near our Cape Station project in Beaver County, Utah. Our team introduced 12 local children to the fascinating world of geothermal energy. We had a blast using creative tools like pool noodles, bubbles, and fans to demonstrate how geothermal wells work. It was a hands-on experience that brought science to life in a fun and engaging way! Seeing the curiosity and enthusiasm in these young minds was incredibly rewarding. We hope to inspire future scientists and engineers who will continue the journey toward sustainable energy solutions. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success! Happy spud-iversary! A year ago we began drilling at Cape Station, the world’s largest enhanced geothermal project, set to deliver 400 MW of around-the-clock clean energy by 2028. In this short time, we’ve seen major progress: 🔧 Drilled over 180,000 feet, slashing drilling costs by 50% while reaching the milestone of one year without a recordable injury, thanks to our partners at Helmerich & Payne 🌍 Built a strong, integrated safety culture that prioritizes care for people and the environment. Through this effort, we've demonstrated that safe work practices and strong drilling performance are highly complementary and both critical to unlocking the potential of EGS ⚙️ Signed a turbine supply agreement with Turboden S.p.A., an important step to power plant construction and electricity generation 📄 Executed a 320 MW PPA with Southern California Edison, demonstrating strong demand for 24/7 carbon-free energy These milestones would not have been possible without the incredible community in Beaver County, Utah. Beaver County has consistently supported the growth of #EGS and the Cape Station project. We look forward to another year of safe and productive operations at Cape Station – the nation’s growing hub for clean, firm power.

We loved showing CBS Mornings around our 400 MW Cape Station project in Southwest Utah. In the CBS #climatewatch segment out today, our CEO Tim Latimer and Amanda Peterson Corio of Google share how Fervo is helping Google innovate its power purchasing to meet growing electricity demands with carbon-free energy. CBS reports that big tech firms used more than 4% of all #electricity in the US in 2022 and that number will more than double to 9% by 2030.
